Electronic Visit Verification (EVV)

Magellan Complete Care is contracting with Tellus to conduct electronic visit verifications for all members receiving home health services. As a result of this contract, all Magellan Complete Care home health providers are required to perform electronic visit verifications for members after each visit effective December 1, 2019.

 

Magellan Complete Care home health providers can conduct electronic visit verifications by using one of these two methods:

  • The Tellus free and easy to use mobile app
  • Their own compliant EVV system that will be integrated with Tellus

 

To begin completing the electronic visit verifications through the Tellus mobile app, all you’ll need to do is download the Tellus app, sign up and begin using it!

 

To begin the integration process using your own compliant EVV system, you will need to:

  • Contact Tellus at integrations@4tellus.com
  • Let them know that you are interested in sharing data

 

Once you have made contact with Tellus, they will:

  1. Send you contracting paperwork
  2. Share integration specification documents
  3. Give test credentials in response to your request
  4. Respond with test file results
  5. Pilot a test with you

 

Home health providers who are using their own compliant EVV system will be placed into production once the contracting paperwork and successful pilot has been completed.

 

Our data for eligible electronic visit verification services will appear in the Tellus portal soon. We will make sure that all of our providers are notified when this occurs, so they can begin using these helpful tools. Although the submission of electronic visit verifications is not mandatory until December 1st, we strongly encourage providers to take advantage of using the Tellus portal and app as soon as it becomes available. This will allow you to get used to verifying services and submitting claims through these channels and work out any technical problems that may arise prior to December 1st.
